Play as an Italian-american man in the 1950's with a quest to find all the playboy magazines and beat up all the paper sellers. Great shooting, Great movement, Great characters and voice-acting, superb.
This game really bring me back to the 1950's or atleast makes me wish I lived in the 1950's, truly a great era with magnificent music, cars, clothing and bribable cops, aslong as you don't kill anyone ;)
The only downside gameplay wise is that there are no freeroam after you finish the game which when you play it you quickly see the fun of just screwing around in Old New York with the great physics and gameplay.
And then there's the dlc's. The only dlc's worth buying if you have some loose change is the car/clothing packs but the the extra story dlc's is an awfull attempt from 2K to make an extra buck, they didn't take their time to voice act or make cutscenes, all the mission info you get is from a little box on the screen and you get arrows telling you where to go and a timer to try to do it as fast as possible. Spare your money don't buy the story dlc's.
Overall Mafia II is an absolutely great game and very much worth the money, just don't buy the story dlc's and do some freeroam between missions and have fun !
