Left 4 Dead

Left 4 Dead

Statistiche:
Free Weekend Left 4 Dead
Before you start raging at my face, here this:

Left 4 Dead 2 spiked up to 200% in player-base value on that weekend, making it a very popular game, and as you can see many who do not have this game. Want to play it.

Left 4 Dead is dying of players, we need them. Valve needs to initate a Free Weekend on Left 4 Dead. See how much the player-base increases compard to Left 4 Dead 2. I can almost guarantee that the player-base will increase also 200%. Doubling the amount of games we can get out of it. Free Players are also new, and will dedicate themselves to the game.

If all else fails, why not turn this game Free to Play? We have Left 4 Dead 2 with the exact same content. I say do what Team Fortress 2 did, that or start supporting the game again.

I support your idea about "free weekend". But I don't support your idea about "free to play".
"Free to play" means that the company still gets money somehow like in tf2 you can buy weapons and costumes, and stuff, but you couldn't make money without (IMO) ruining the game a bit. I do like the free weekend idea though.

That is assuming they make Left 4 Dead 1 compatible with the Steam Workshop. Instead, l4d2 is getting it. Kinda makes you want to think now...
It's a shame that L4D2 gets all the attention, because L4D1 is the better game. That's life though :/
Nice idea, but Valve doesn't want new L4D1 players.

L4D2 is where Valve wants all the players to be.

Free to Play would turn this game into a greif'er's dream come true. Pubs would be a pure nightmare. And versus would be full of hackers, as well. VAC ban Month Delay? So what, I'll just make another account.

the problem with L4D is the built in lobby system... With TF2, maps are on a rotation and you can actually Admin private servers. L4D isn't set up that way. Combine that with the smaller in-game groups and you'll end up with an out-of-control, community.

Let's play L4D
Better yet, they should have left the demo of L4D still on steam and make that free to play. That would encourage people to buy the full game.
