Linux support?!
Is there a possibility for linux?
I know that sequel will be released on linux, but Valve released HL, CS1.6 and CS:S and these games are so old.

I think there's already L4D on Linux:

Though I haven't actually tried it, but I'm now tempted since supposedly it runs faster/smoother on Linux than it does on Windows.

I have windows and it runs fine, im not using full effects, but the game runs alot better than a console. So that is all that matters.

It works with Wine, a compatibility layer, but there is no native port at the moment, since they are working on L4D 2 for Linux, and they have added all the maps, campaigns and characters from LFD, I don´t think they are working on this port, but, as I read on some sites, Valve is planning to port if not all, at least the major part of it´s catalog to Linux, so I think there is a possibility for this to happen.
