do the characters for 1 ported to lfd 2?

i am considering either 1 or 2 to buy

I had 2 first,And i bought 1 yesterday,Why? I have no idea,I think both games are great fun,And since there both on sale,I wouldnt know any reason not to buy them,

All the content, with the exception of some survival maps, have been ported to l4d2.

Don't bother playing the ports though. They're poorly implemented, and encourages the abandoning of the first game.

both have eunique gameplay but based on the same thing but the ports should not be played on l4d2

my main issue i am asking is about if the main cast in 1 was ported to 2? not bothered about wat maps they have ported.

i dont like the 2 characters

They've been ported, but you can only select them on the L4D1 campaigns.
Also, you can only select the L4D2 characters for the L4D2 campaigns.

Only the textures and the dialog were ported, though. So the movements and animations are still that of L4D2 for all campaigns. Also, no legs for all. And Friendly Fire turns off when you're incapped. Guns are a bit too close your face/screen, too. But, you can edit that via the developer's console. I have instructions on my profile. (you can thank the Xbox for all the visual cuts to L4D2.)
