I want buy Left 4 Dead but I have some questions.
I cannot buy Left 4 Dead using Steam store. I contacted Steam Support but they show me a way that i am not able to do (I have files in different components).
So I have decided to buy Left 4 Dead in retail (through internet).
First question: Will be retail version (original version of course) same as a version what you can buy on Steam?
Second question:Will Steam automatically install to my retail version of a game all official DLCs? (Crash Course,The Sacrifice).
I asking for that becouse when I buy Left 4 Dead 2 (retail version). Steam automatically installed DLC "The Passing" and later L4D campaigns and DLCs.

You're not making any sense in your reasoning of not being able to purchase from Steam.
But yeah. Left 4 Dead boxed version is a Steamworks game.

Unless you get scammed and buy a pirated version, the retail version of L4D acts the same as directly buying it from Steam. The only difference is that L4D on steam often goes on sale for 5 bucks, and the retail boxed version doesn't. Also about 7GB of info will be loaded from the disk, the remainder will have to be downloaded, and Valve has increased the game to about 10GB.
