Only L4D2 is easy, actually. L4D1 is tricky.
Honestly, I have to actively TRY to die in the sequel to actually die - and even then, the game half the time keeps me alive on its own.
You spent over 4000 hours in L4D, most of it in coop and still think L4D1 is "tricky"? You must be terrible at the game. Just like L4D2 where mellee weapons are overpowered, in L4D1 it's corner camping or spammming the melee with no cooldown. Also terrible AII for the special infected and tanks where it's just better to burn and run away for 40 seconds in expert make the game a walk in the park in expert.
Like NOT USING LAME TACTICS. I never sit in a corner during events and just hold the right mouse button. Instead, I try to find a more effective tactic in killing zombies. For example in NM2, I've figured out a way to kill the entire horde faster than sitting under the pipe while barely shooting in the first place.
In L4D2, avoiding things are simply so easy, even if you try to avoid that, you still have hard times failing.
You sound pretty hurt about me stating a fact, anyone else will tell you with given that given the huge amount of hours you've spent on L4D1 the game on expert will be a walk in the park even without the corner camping or spamming melee.
So L4D1 is challenging when you don't use the "lame tactics" to win? So how is that any different to L4D2 when you put the challenge onto yourself and don't use "lame tactics"? Just don't use melee weapons, defibs or bile bombs and it's just as tricky as L4D1 without using those "lame tactics". I can't see how avoiding them means you will have a hard time dying. In fact, without using overpowered stuff like melee weapons, I'd admit that L4D2's rolling crescendos are tougher than L4D1s since you're attacked from more angles (especially the roller coaster event in Dark Carnival map 3, or The Parish finale).
Also I like how agree with me by implying that L4D1 is easy when you do use those "lame tactics". Just like L4D2. Good job :D
