How to improve the L4D voting system

Hi! this is what should be done on the vote kick system 1. Example when a guy keeps team killing everyone and the vote is popped up they will show the name like VOTE called by: ShadowLord12 (for example) 2.When your health is 50 it will be green until 39. thats all i can think anyway.... put comments on how to improve it thank you

There are server mods that show who called the vote. A lot of servers have that including mine. I also have a anti-team killing mod so people can't kill you in the beginning saferooms. Other servers have an auto kick/ban system if you do too much teamkilling.

I don't get what you mena by the health staying green at 39. How would that help?

Somes things to improve it have already been done. The name thing is on quite a few servers already and some servers won't allow you to kick someone who is the tank since if you do it'll go AI. I hope you're not expecting Valve to try and fix it, they've forgotten about this game long ago.

I know for a fact on L4D 2 it shows the person who started the vote. At the same time, I don't like that. Since 90% of the time the person who is about to be kicked starts shooting me and / or other players. Resulting in comprimising the current map we are playing on.

5th Survivor has a very good point. That a auto - kick SHOULD take place on a player does too much damage. Friendly fire is not acceptable. Accidental and / or intentional. Even if someone runs into line of fire the damage is NOT that high. And it's a shame Valve does not have this in place in the default game. And Official Dedicated servers for that matter.

I agree with you, there have been too many times where it says who pulled up the vote only to get that player who pulled up the vote kicked instead (since the person had 1-2 friends on the team), or the person starts griefing the player who started the vote.

I don't think I've seen too many auto-kick plugins on any servers besides some servers kicking the player if they make their lerp go over 100. I'd really love to see some plugin be made/implemented on more servers for griefers, since they can ruin the game for the whole server most times.

At this point in time though it's quite useless to try and get this to happen. There aren't too many player owned servers left (in Versus) to put these types of plugins on. The game has been dead/dying for a long while now and I can't see Valve or players come together to get these things done.

when i was playing l4d i was getting pushed by a A.I and they started a vote kick at me because i was stuck i was getting pushed on a ledge by a A.I

Started to play Left 4 Dead again after a long period of other games. Played single player over and over till I felt I was good enough for some online team and vs play. Started getting voted out of games 2-3 minutes into them. Thought I was doing something wrong. People are looking at my "n00b stats" and kicking me as a knee jerk reaction. Putting the option to kick players is a horrible idea in any video game. It's initial implementation was only put in to punish team-kills and hackers. It's use for those two reasons are far below 0.1%. I hope steam veers away from this primitive and elitist system which keeps their audience from increasing, and in fact, forces the community to diminish over time. If the game stats actually mattered, such as a ranking system, or even a CoD like K/D ratio, I could see the reason for voting people off of a game.
But in a TEAM game, where you are only fighting computer controlled opponents, not only is it an immature and inconsiderate thing to do, but it actually makes your stats WORSE by comparison to the other members of your community.
VALVE: You created a system which dooms your game to a ever-shrinking fan base. I have no choice but to play single player games and avoid the online community/versus mode completely.
