It was only a few months ago that I (finally) bought the Valve Collection, and not until fairly recently that I started playing Left 4 Dead (1). So yes, I play this game and enjoy it.

I feel like melee weapons ruined the game.

Could you give a few examples? I'm really curious about buying one of these games to give it a go but I'm just not sure. It's great to hear people are still playing the first one.

Death toll is a really good example in L4D1 it has guardrails and fences on the "drains" chapter and in L4D2 they just took it all out including the sound of it going down so now its just an alarm
On the church level to, The church has barricades making it seem like a holdout but in L4D2 it just looks like a random church

There are many others to and valve forgot to add to death toll in L4D2 But in my opinion thats the worst ported level to L4D2

Also a few more things

+when you look down you can see your own feet L4D2 dosen't have this

+infinite shove in campaign

+dead survivor physics

+faster reloading

+no annoying jockey

Ah ok thanks. It looks like the first game has had more attention and time put into it compared to the second game. Does that sound right ?

Left 4 dead had atleast 2 years of Work in progress rather then left 4 dead 2 had 1 year of work in progress

I find L4D2 a parody of the original The L4D1 survivors are always focused about surviving when the L4D2 survivors don't really care and all they do is joke around

For sure!!!

L4D 1 need a lot of team skill in versus.

I think both of them are good.
