L4D1 Blank Screen, But Music works after the May 20th Update
Is anyone else having an issue with L4D1 after the recent update? When I launch the game I hear all the sounds but I am unable to see anything... I've had the game and it's worked perfectly for long time, but since the recent update I can't play.

2.7 Ghz Intel Core i7, 16GB Ram, Intel HD 4000 graphics, its the latest Macbook Pro retina. Haven't ever had an issue with running it, this latest update disrupted L4D1 for some reason. I tried reinstalling and all that jazz but still nothing

can I say... mine is as same as yours. my macbook pro cannot run L4D1 and i could only hear the music. do u know how to solve this issue?

Unfortunately I've still had no luck, I've tried just about everything on my end. Something in the update definately created the problem.

i think they must update soon to solve this problem. L4D2 is working well, you can play that one.

I still can't play Left 4 Dead 1 because of this, no progress unfortunately. I reached out to Valve but haven't gotten a response

Everyone contact Valve's support and let them know, hopefully if enough people speak up they'll see the problem and release a fix

Was anyone able to get in touch with Valve about this issue? I still haven't been playing L4D1 because of this update. It just won't launch, and its been about 3 months now...
