Elevator Glitch

So I'm pretty far in the game and you reach a path where you can either turn left and head down an elevator or go straight and see a danger sign and a huge drop. Well when I go in the elevator and head down, and reach the bottom I can't move. Any ideas?

I had this same problem but a different elevator in the game. All I did was jump right before the elevator stops and I was fine.

Oh I see, I was moving around while it was going down and all of a sudden I couldn't move anymore. I could still hear the sound effects though.

Could you not move at all or just not walk? I couldn't walk but I could still look around and shoot. Audio still played for me but there was this odd constant humming noise.

Yep same thing happened to me, can't walk, can shoot, hear a strange humming noise, can look around

Yes it did. In fact I'm almost done with the game, thanks for the tip :)

You can either jump before you hit the bottom or rapidly crouch jump when it happens, it works for me.

Can anyone help? the menu is completely invisible in all HL1 games except HL1 source.

You should probably start your own tread so more people can see your issue. Also have you tried verifying the integrity of the game cache?

He did say ALL half life 1 games, which includes this one, just thought you should know.
