should i go to the xen secrets in oposing force

i was wondering if it is worth it to go to the xen secrets or if it is just a waste of ammo.

You mean the teleport destinations from the Displacer? Some of them have supplies that can help you.However,a few of them are just traps.

let me clarify my question. on my first playthrough i dident go to any of them as i did not know they existed. for my second playthrough i would like to know if in generall i should go to them.

If you are in a dire case,for example,you have no ammo or low health,and have enough for one displacer teleportation,you should do it.Just keep in mind that in certain parts of the game the displacer can teleport you to death.
