Just a heads up: Do NOT buy this game if you suffer epilepsy or something like that. There are a TON of flashing lights in this game.
I remember a year or so ago that I first heard of it in a video I can't remember what it was about. I decided to get it since I was kinda curious and I liked the idea of gameplay based on music, as I enjoyed audiosurf myself. It kinda just sat there for a while. And with a while I mean over a year. So now I tried it again and played some vidya tunes on it. And I must say, it's quite enjoyable.
To put it simply, this is a 2D, dare I say arcade-like shooter. But the 'levels' to put it like there are based of the soundtrack you choose, and the more intense the music is, the more things happen on the screen. There's probably also something with the rhythm, but I didn't notice it all that much. But I'm probably missing something. There are different enemies and bosses. Most of them vary from size, projectiles, and movement paths, to put it like that. That's really all I can say for the enemies. Oh right there are bosses as well I suppose.
There are also perks you can unlock by playing, Which are basically bonuses to help you out, or unlock some new stuff.
In the end. I can recommend this game if you have some money in your steam wallet which you don't know what to spend it on, if it's on sale, or you are just curious. I myself think this is a pretty good game to play if you're bored and want to shoot things while listening to any song from Metal Gear Rising or any Pursuit theme from Ace Attorney. That's simply the best thing.
