Gamepad in Linux
I'm using a Wii U Pro Controller via bluetooth in Linux. It works nicely in almost every game, and in Steam Big Picture mode. But Beat Hazard seems to only works with a x360 gamepad because some buttons work, but not the analog sticks. Every other game just use the configuration set in Big Picture mode, so they work with every compatible gamepad.

I'd really like if Beat Hazard could be adapted to properly support gamepads.

Have you tried using the configure gamepad option?

Yeah, I got stuck at the "move left stick up" or something like that. No matter what control I activate, it doesn't pass from there. I presume it is because the naming of the analog axis is different.

Thanks for replying!

I've got the Wii U Pro Controller working with this game by emulating a Xbox360 gamepad in Linux:

Thanks for the update. Although it should be ok without this. Glad it works.
