This game gets a lot of bad press.
It isn't a great game, but it is a lot better than people say.
Most people think this game is awful because of the promo materials for the game which show the game to be absolutely amazing, but in reality it is just 'ok'.
I would recommend this game if you're an Aliens / Alien: 3 fan because it explains the link between the films pretty well - especially with the Stasis Interrupted DLC.
Gameplay is a little buggy and the graphics are no where near what they should be for a 2013 release. Some things in the game are not logical, like alien eggs not opening when you get near to them and prompts to do things only being available after a period of time, although they are right in front of you before that time and you just can't press them.
I bought this game on sale for about £3, and I'd recommend doing the same.
It's not worth any more than that, but to fill the gap between the films, or even just to fill some time on multiplayer this game is alright.
If you want a better alien game, save up and buy Alien: Isolation - that game puts this to shame.
(Isolation is set between 1+2, this is set between 2+3, I'm only comparing them as part of the canon game series)
