Can I uninstall just the dlc?

After I booted the game up today it says the mechromancer dlc was corrupt. Do I have to reinstall the whole game or can I just reinstall the dlc somehow?

Verify the game cache.

Right click BL2 > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game cache

Oh cool. I had no idea steam could just go thru all the files and pick out and replace corrupt ones. Nifty. Thanks.

Chances are it'll have to replace two files once you've done the verify thing. The same thing happened to me and a few others going by forum posts. Apart from that not had any issues at all.

I had to do this process about 15 times before it finally worked. I think there was a corrupt file on a content server and it kept sending me the bad file over and over until they finally figured it out and fixed it.

That's my theory anyway.

Thanks. Took 3 tries but it worked. 2K and Gearbox never replied to my requests. ( The least they could have done was reply and said to go to Steam and ...... It should not take an act of God to fix a problem with any game.

They'll reply to your request, it takes time. You got added to the bottom of a very long list of people who email "Your game broke my computer", because of AMD FX processor defects.
