Performance Problems
So my PC should not be having any issues with Borderlands 2... Radeon 6950 GPU, 8GB of RAM, i3 processor, but during intense fighting my performance slows to an absolute crawl...has anyone had anything similar? Or have any advice for me?

turn off any addition crap in vid settings like Advanced lighting and what not. And try a lower res just to see.

Slightly better, but it still just chugs like crazy...

yup had same issues. i think it's fxaa and/or physx. but turn everything on low to narrow it down further..and restart the game when you do, not all changes take affect immediately.

This game is optimized horibbly for ati cards (some) :(

As above, check your PhysX settings - especially If you have an ATI card as I believe it will pass it all to the CPU. Turn that off and try again!

PhysX, shadows, lighting and FXAA is all a part of slowing down stuff, it just CHUNKS your GPU, im in EU so i havent run it yet but im most likely gonna have to turn all that to low or off even with my setup (AMD FX-8150, 8GB RAM and a Radeon 5750 HD card)

Turns out it was probably physx that was causing the bottleneck...thanks guys!

turn off physx, and see if that helps.
