no more kunai stacking.
the new patch is alright in general. nothing special really. if it were a serious developer this stuff would have been fixed ages ago (also see how long it took them to fix 5 drop pools with mercy and lee etc), but that's just gearbox's way of pretending they care about improving the game experience.
what is propostrous in this patch is the removal of kunai stacking. previously you could get the damage an enemy receives from deathmark up to 80% on solo 160% in 2 players, and so on and so forth. after the patch this is not possible anymore. the deathmark cannot stack with the kunai, and the damage will never go beyond 20%. this is a huge nerf for melee zero and his viability against raid bosses (he'll still be able to do it, it wil take much longer though). he might also loose his ability to 1 shot some of the tougher enemies and vanilla bosses.
what is even worse is that with the patch only 1 deathmark can be up at a time. if you're playing in co-op with another zero speced to deathmark and you've applied one, if your partner throws a kunai or strikes any other enemy it will remove the dethmark from your target and apply it to the enemy your friend hit. zero was definately one of the best, if not the very best co-op player thanks to his deathmark, and kunai stacking against raid bosses, and they turned him into a loosy team player, that not only doesnt help his teammates, but might also steal their deathmark from time to time.
i really hope they just make change it so that multiple dethamrks can be up, and also so that kunai will once again be able to stack, cause this is one of the least broken things in this mess of a game, when it comes to balance, and its really not fair to zero players to nerf him so bad.

Oh, having only one shared deathmark really does suck - it looks like GBX only did an ugly hack instead of a proper fix. Not quite unexpected from the likes of them, but still - it sucks.

that's probably a bug, which is going to take them 5 months to fix again. the kunai nerf was intentional, and uncalled for imo. both accidental and intentionla kunai changes suck major ♥♥♥.

I was watching the Gbx forums lastnight regarding that patch and it sounds like the general consensus is that it should have remained at 80% against single enemy across all game modes and team sizes rather than being dropped to 20% completely. Maybe they were trying to stop it stacking due to multiple players not multiple kunai and borked it..

That wouldn't have been so bad I guess.. But I've lost interest in playing that class until something is changed myself, with how they've altered it. Just makes too many builds/playstyles ineffective :/

well, they could have made it so that it couldnt go over 80% even in co-op. that would have introduced an interesting dynamic to the game where instead of syncing deceptions the ninjas would have to take turns to keep the deathmark up at all times. what they did now is just nerf the hell out of one of the most interesting classes. zero was never anything close to OP, and he also had a very stiff learning curve whether it be for effectively using the hide, or effectively sniping against mobs or raid bosses, or learning how to pimp. with this nerf its discouraging to new players to pick him up, because he is way less powerful than he previously was.
i did pete yesterday after teh patch cam out. sosloing him with melee took almost twice as much as it normally does, and i couldnt do anything to make it quicker. the executes were way less powerful, and due to the duration of the fight dot for novas was stacking (guess other can still stack their dmg), and it was harder to manage. sniping was still possible, but the rough rider/bone combo, didnt work for me (maybe someone with 100% accuracy, might be able to do it). it was still a powerful method but i had to use a stockpile this time, which actually makes it easier and more forgiving, btu reduces your dps (by 40% since you're missing the bone, and you're also missing the 80% that is up approximately during the half of the fight).
all in all a bad and unfair nerf, considering that he is the only character to receive such a significant nerf. i am really disapointed.

Yeah sure, nerf the living **** out of a character that is already severely underpowerd compared to other wildly unbalanced characters like maya/zerker.Nerf Kunai and leave ,immolite glitch and money shot in for the sake of balancing. And don't fix hyperius/master gee's gate glitch,we don't need that.

exactly. it took zero already too long to kill raid bosses compared to the other characters. i wouldnt say he is underpowered by no means. but that was partly due to having an awesome end skill (the kunai). gearbox decided to take one of the best and most co-op friendly end skills in the game and turn it into one of the very worst. its about as good as make it sparkle now. he still has no problem with regular mobs, but the time it takes to kill raid bosses has doubled due to that ridicolous nerf. i rreally hope they fix it, or at least make it that it caps at 80% even in co-op, which would be very fair imo. they have effectively halved the dps of one of the most well balanced characters in the unbalanced healthgatelands.

seems like a good idea. i dont actually have a gbxf acc but i might make one just for that. making it 80% and unlimited deathmarks for all players is what i've been saying from day 1 just like many other players. i think that they jsut dont know how to do that yet. i believe that if they actually do that, the max amount of deathmarks on different enemies possible is gonna be 4. eitherway im kind of fine with that, since its gonna still be a good improvement to what they have done to him right now.

Wow, this sucks big time...Lucky for me I haven't played Assassin yet. If any class needed nerfing, it's Gunzerker, health and ammo regen, chaining moneyshots or just getting inconceivable shots with Norfleets, ye....
