Is The Bee still the superior shield in this game?
Hi guys, few hours ago I found The Bee shield (level 45, dropped from a Treant from the latest DLC), I remember people claiming that it's without a doubt the most OP shield in the game, I wonder if it's still the best after it's not-so-recent nerf or if I should be on lookout for a different one? Also, what legendary weapons from the Torgue machines should I be on lookout for? Are any of them actually worth it or should I just try to farm the Invincibles? Many thanks for answers.

Just as a side note, the Treant drop rate on the Bee is currently reported as a bug, as in the Treants should not be dropping them.
As for the shield itself, it depends on the playthrough. Personally if you are playing UVHM don't use the Bee, it will get you killed more often then it will be useful. Truth be told I have not used the Bee since the game was first released.
As for Torgue Machine wepaons, I have no advice on that as the wepons I sought after and farmed were mostly drops.

Well, with the nerf, it's not so good for Shotguns anymore(used to apply to every pellet individually, now it's a boost spread across all of them), but it's still amazing for any decent fire rate weapon or weapons that split under a special mechanic(I've read the Sandhawk still applies the damage to each bullet fired for example).

On the subject of Torgue Machines, Unkempt Harolds, Nukems, and Bonus Packages are pretty good, especially Double Penetrating Unkempt Harolds(considered one of the best guns in the game for some characters). All that explosive damage is nice, both in the boosted damage, spread, and most of all, ignoring Armor.

There good, but I pefer The Sham, quick recharge and absorb is 94percentile, I've seen some with 81 or something.

Been having fun with the antagonist and my psycho.

The bee is fine for tvhm but not so much in uvhm, depends on your playstyle.

I made it through UVHM using a bee the whole way I am not sure how the BEE gets you killed in UVHM, an amp shield does not cause damage to you, WTF shield maybe, but not the BEE

Bee is still the best....and without it you gonna die many times in UVHM.

The Bee is great if you can A: keep it full and B: use it effectively. Shotguns and other guns with multiple listed projectiles? Not the best partners. Fast-firing weapons, Sniper Rifles, and guns that fire multiple projectiles without being listed as such? Pretty good partners.

BEE is a bit of a mixed opinion, some say use it in UVH otehrs say don't. its all in your play style; if you are able to keep a distance and prevent yourself from getting hit, then yes BEE is useful. on the other hand; if your play style involes closer range and melee, AVOID the shield as its recharge delay and lower capacity will be the death of you

I'm levl 56 in UVHM and I really like Vlad, with the bonus I have 77K os shield, the rate is pretty osimilar to Bee but the delay is only 1.8 seconds so I nearly never lose it.

Found a Transformer shield, wich gives immunity to Shock and also has 30% absorb chance, plus the "special" effect I'll see at lvl 60, so for me the Bee is still great but it has competition based on what you want to do.

Bee is usually good on Bosses and if you're not Krieg.

Bee with Sheriff's Badge and a 10.4 firing infinity (can use all 3 depending on enemies) rules. It fires insanely fast and every bullet is amped.

Bee is only good really on Gaige with BSS (Blood Soaked Shields) and against raid Bosses. In general play it gets damaged too quickly to maintain dps, and there are far better survivability, ultility and damaging shields.

bee + pistol + sherrifs badge + rate of fire class mod = pretty damn awesome

why is the treants dropping bees a bug? It makes sense to me, bee hives in trees.

heyooooooooooooooooooooooooo

It is still very good even in UVHM if you are the type of person that can avoid bullets. People that say "DONT USE IT IN UVHM" are exagerating. It depends on your playstyle...

Gaige (with points in Fancy Mathematics and Blood Soaked Shields) and Maya (with points in Ward) can make a really good use of this shield since they can decrease the recharge delay below 4 sec. Gaige is doing better than Maya but the Siren has an higher survivability. You can even fight at close or middle range.

Regarding your second question : the best legendary items sold in Torgue's vending machine are the Bonus Package (grenade) and the Unkempt Harold (pistol).
