Can't connect to the host.

I was able to play borderlands 2 co-op fine at first, But right after the last update everytime I tryed to join a friend it keeps saying ' can't connect to the host ' And when they try to join me they go right back to the main menu. I'm playing on a macbook, And I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. Anyone has a idea?

It is possible that it may be unrelated to the update, and may be an IP issue. Before you start calling up your internet provider though, try checking your game installation. Go to your steam browser, to your games library, find borderlands 2. Rick click it and go to properties. In the window that opens click the local files tab. Then click the "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" button. That will check your install and correct any files that may be corrupt.

I also reccomend running a Speed test, just go to google, search "Speed Test" and go to the top link to test your internet speed and connection.

I already tryed that aswel. But I just saw on the steam forum that after the last update for pc the pc and mac version are out of sync, Which would be causing this problem. So I hope they get a patch for the mac version quick. If this is really the problem.

Yeah a guy from Aspyrx was on a thread just like this and said that this cross platform situation came out of the blue but the team is working nonstop.

If this is a known issue, a notification would have been nice. Tried half an hour, verifiying game cache, etc...

This seems to be reasonable explanation. I just dont get the sense of this update-policy.
On a coop-based game you need to sync updates... and I dont think its such an important fix, that PC-users couldn't have waited for.

start the game new or delete itand install it again
