Any chance it will be ported to Linux?
I would love to pre-purchase it if that is in the pipeline. I am probably the last person on the planet who hasn't played it yet, but have heard nothing but good things and would love to have it on my platform of choice.

I don't think there has been a mention of it so far. They sold 6M copies to date, so I imagine all it takes would be an executive who appreciates Linux and would like to give it a PR boost. Are there native Linux games that use the Unreal engine?
Honestly, I highly doubt it, though you'd do better to ask directly either Gearbox or 2K. Sorry, I can't be of anymore help than this. =\

Thanks both for your comments. Hopefully a dev for Gearbox or 2K see this and comment... but I will dig deeper into the internet until then.
I doubt it, man... You'll have better luck if you go to their pages and file a ticket or a support request. If you wait till someone checks these discussions, it'll be christmas again. =\

You could suggest it at the Gearbox forum. They do read those: http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/forumdisplay.php?f=141

If I remember correctly, some weeks ago a fellow member posted screenshots or video from BL2 running on linux pretty good. I'll try find that link and post it here.

Thanks! I left a comment in the suggestion thread. (http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?p=3692297#post3692297)

That looks like it runs great on Wine but before I would throw down money to buy it I would prefer it run natively and avoid having to jump through hoops to get it working.

Much appreciated Mivo. :)

They'll just outsource the port to a really bad company :P

Runs on OS X but not on Linux.... is it really that hard to make the jump from BSD/OSX to Linux?????

I unfortunately bought the game on steam some time back, and don't want to buy the local game to install on Crossover just for that.
