price of new DLC's
I'm reading some people are only having to pay $0.99 for them. Here on Australian steam they're $1.75. This means if I were to buy them all they'd end up costing $26.25, that's $10 more than the DLCs with actual content in them.

I guess it's a good thing most of them aren't worth getting but still, I wasn't expecting them to total anything more than $15 and even that felt like a bit of a stretch.

Any other parts of the world having to pay extra for no reason whatsoever? I hear Europe usually gets the shaft with these things too.

It's usually just you guys in Europe and Australia. Politics and economy and all that.

They are $1.25 USD in Europe (except UK), €0.99.

that's why you don't buy the game until the GOTY edition with all the dlc is included and you don't get ripped off
Mivo Jan 22, 2013 @ 11:27am
The GOTY will still be more expensive in Oceania and Europe, so, same issue either way. :)

The prices for BL2 and DLC are not really an issue. I don't mind paying €15 for the skins (I work so I can buy stuff I want, not just to pay rent and food). The game is well worth it. It is just about the substantially higher price tags outside of the US.

I'm going to wait until a combined pack, and/or a sale on the skins myself. I mean, the skins aren't so much for you, as they are something to show other players. You don't even see your own head at all, and very little of your skin 99% of the time.

Yeah, quite a few of my mates are doing that actually. When I tell them about this they'll feel even better about that decision.

Oh well, it's not too bad, It could cost as much as the Rocksmith DLC! :P I did save a whole bunch getting borderlands 2 during the Christmas sale so that evens it out.

10 of them equal the cost of all the content you get in a DLC, Gearbox is clear RIPPING OFF everyone. Don't give me that "its costs money to make games" bs, they clearly made well off the game alone, then the dlc's. These skins should have just been free, if not 2$ for 5, even then $6 for the 15 is still a ♥♥♥♥♥ rip. Its like Civ5's dlc's: $5 for an additional Civ.

If people continue to buy stuff like this, it will only expand and they will only continue to exploit people. Next time it will be dlc's for $15 , skins for $5, and the content will be 1/2 of what it is currently(which is to say questionable as is).

It isn't a rip-off. The skins are vanity items and they do not add any actual content or gameplay features. If you think they are too expensive, then don't buy them. It's just cosmetic stuff and you have no advantages or disadvantages if you buy or don't buy them.

Personally, I have so far gotten 200 hours of entertainment from the game, with several more hundred in the pipeline. Giving them a bit of extra cash for some fancy skins is something I don't mind doing. This doesn't make me feel exploited. Getting charged 25% extra, though, is something I appreciate less.

the funny thing that they costs in russia more than everywhere (50 rubles, almost 1.25 Euro). In comparison to life-level and salaries... Russia has become the most rich country in the world! Salaries become sky-high and bears are driving lamborghini. Not lying.

Although I don't agree with GBX's policy, heads & skins don't give anyone any advantage over other players that haven't them - so I don't understand why you're griping so much. I mean, nobody forces no-one to buy them.

They're that price because only the people who really want them will buy. If you are a player like me - I don't care so much about the cosmetic stuff so no big deal, I just won't buy it.

I don't think this game is a rip-off - I got my copy on sale for $30 (AUD) and the season pass on sale for $15. Even so I would have been happy to pay full price as this game has so many hours of gameplay.

It's just a dollar, and it's just a skin. I'm not big on skins anyway (I much prefer the default appearances), but if I wanted to buy one, I could do so by digging through my couch for loose change.

its not bad really these skins/heads since you get for what ever class you have, i got the axton and gaige sets. hell on killing floor i bought everything they come up with since i like the game even tho i havent played for some time i still like it
Ares Jan 22, 2013 @ 1:33pm
they might sell better packed as complete style packs or packed together per character instead of loose as loose like these makes them feel a bit lame and whats with the screenshots they all appear to be the same between the packs and do not actuly show the contents AT all
[RLC] SCAVENGER1 Jan 22, 2013 @ 1:36pm
yeah they didnt package these well at all. and with no pic of what each really look like. it is a gamble of what your getting. and yes if they wrere all packages per class and not in single pack form i think they would be selling much better. since via steam it takes about 5 minute or more to get the 1 you want and then finally buy them. just ♥♥♥♥ poor marketing is all let alone planing.
