Failed To Join Match - You are playing with a different patch version than the other player(s).
I have been getting this error for a while every time I try to play multiplayer co-op. I tried reinstalling and verify integrity of game cache but that doesn't still fix it. Any help?

Edit: I'm playing on PC version.

I'm on PC and I have version 1.3.0 (which is the most updated version). I heard about 1.4.2 but I have no idea how to get it.

It's actually because PC and Mac versions have different builds - so even if you update both, the Mac version is behind the PC version. Not sure why they wouldn't sync the release.

Ran into this issue a couple of days ago (really annoying). That being said, you can export your profile from the Mac version and import it to the PC version pretty easily. (Aspyr has said that they will not be syncing PC and Mac versions...)

Mac: Users/%username%/Library/Preferences/Feral Interactive/Borderlands/SaveData
PC: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\My Games\Borderlands 2\WillowGame\SaveData\

In the respective SaveData folders, there will be a folder with a bunch of numbers in it. Copy that and paste it into your other machine's SaveData folder.

Simple:

Aspyr has to port the update, which was released the same day the Mac version went on sale, two months after the Windows/Console release of the game.
