Not gaining any EXP in UVHM

Hello Guys,

I have a lvl50 mechromancer and now I want to play through the UVHM but I am NOT gaining a single experiencepoint...
I've selected my character at the character selection screen and afterwards I'Ve selected UVHM.
The enemies are quite strong and are above level 50 (50-52).

What am I doing wrong?

Did you buy the pack that increases your max level to 61, or do you have the Season Pass?

well the level increase and UVHM are in the same pack so i doubt that has anything to do with it

TC, did you use a trainer and acidentally hit "freeze experience" or something like that? judging by your posts i dont think you have but its just something to ask

nope. i didn't use any trainer or cheats.
i just checked my season pass at steam store. if you purchesed an item in steam store it will say "you already own this product"...in my case it's not. what the heck?

try verifying your game cache by right clicking the game > properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache

okay. it said "failed to verfiy 1 chache game file"...it's now "reaquireing"

edit: still not able to verify alle game cache files

You do realize points take forever to make the slightest ding on your xp bar. It has to fit the total points earned in 30 TVHM levels into just 11 in UVHM. I thought the same thing at first until I finally saw a hint of blue at the very tip. If the menu said UVHM and the game started over in Liars Berg with Claptrap in front of you that's UVHM.

Think of it this way, enemies that you would get 100xp for, now you only get 1xp. You probably won't see a thing until you finish your "turn in" with Hammerlock. You'll get used to it.

I get your point bubbacho, however, if you kill an enemie normally a text will pop up with a certain amount of exp. for me this is not happening

That I cannot explain, the only time when that happens is if the character is maxed out within that mode. Try going back into the select character option and make sure you are choosing UVHM then try playing again.

Are you using Family Sharing to play the game?

Have you downloaded the dlc that increases your lvl

If you go to your steam library, and select borderlands 2
In the middleish of the library screen there should be a DLC window
In the DLC window are
Borderlands 2: ultimate vault hunter upgrade pack
Borderlands 2: ultimate vault hunter upgrade pack 2
in the list, and do they have a checkmark in their box?
