TVHM questions
Alright, so I've read on some other site that any side quests you do in tvhm, you cant to in uvhm. Further, that the item reward scales to whatever level you were when you accepted the quest--not when you complete or turn it in. Which, there are some quest items that I want level 61 of (such as fotfh).

As such, I've been avoiding most of the side quests in case by chance one gives an item that I might later on decide I want a high-level version of. So I'm having difficulty leveling. Currently I'm level 38.

I was wondering if what I read on the other site is true or if I can just go ahead and take all the side quests and level up. If what I read on the other site is true, can anyone recommend where to xp grind at in tvhm?

UVHM just starts from the beginning, so all the quests will be available again.

As far as I know you can accept the side quests at any level. It'll just be important to actually do them after you have faced the Warrior. After defeating him all other quests should level up to your current level.

The story missions should give you the most XP, so running through the story missions should already help. If you own the DLCs, do the same there. Or you could join a UVHM game of a friend and try to keep your character somewhere safe while he/she does the killing.

Ok, I might be wrong here, if so, I will be troughly corrected, so here goes...
Best practice in ranking up, is to do the side missions as you come over them.
Yes, the level will follow the side mission when accepted, BUT... in normal mode, the enemie levels and side mission difficulty levels are capped to 30-32ish, so is the items.
When you enter TVHM, the enemies will be scaled to your present level, and so will the items.
You will not miss any items behind you.
To "save" side missions will not benefit you, side missions not taken in normal mode, will hang with you in TVHM, but capped to normal mode difficulty level, and therefor useless to you.
Later, when you enter UVHM, you start the game all over, almost exactly as the first time you launched the game, but you start at LVL 50, and the baddies are way more eh.. unpleasant than you are used to.
All new side missions, all new items.

So bottom line, grab all side missions you can, they will give you great XP's and you rank up faster.
Don't bother with some particular item, there are always better ones ahead, never look behind.

You are a 38, finish the story line, time to enter TVHM or you will get bored.

Doesn't TVHM just start all over just as UVHM does?

I'm already in TVHM. I did side quests in normal mode. I read that in TVHM though, any side quests you do, are not avaliable again in UVHM asside from the main story missions. What I was talking about is between TVHM and UVHM.

That certainly won't happen. I have plenty of side missions left in my UVHM despite having done most of them in TVHM.

Alright, that will make leveling much easier. Thanks!

normal, TVHM and UVHM or all seprate from each other.

TVHM only opens once normal warrior is dead and UVHM is unlocked when warrior is dead PLUS you are lv 50.

all normal mode is set to a particuler level on all quests, if you pick up a quest when your 15 and you go to say the first area it will be still be a lv 4-6 quest, even after you kill the warrior.

TVHM sidequests are set to a particuler level also UNTIL you kill the warrior, which then activates playthrough 2.5 mode which makes all side quests not picked up scale automatically to lv50.

UVHM scales to what ever lv you are, what ever quest you dont pick up will automatically scale to your level, so leaving all sidequests till you are lv 61 will make them all lv61 quests which will give lv61 items.

if you reach the warrior in UVHM and you still need more levels just kill them over and over again.

theres a quest that gets you an XP relic get that and keep it on you till you reach max lv it helps alot. after doing may 3rd 4th and now 5th character iv got relic with around 5.6% extra on kill and only lv 12, you end up leveling so fast it makes it easy. got 3 fresh charecters at lv 37 with still hammerlock dlc to do still should hit 40ish before even starting TVHM at rate im going.

so in short normal mode dont skip quests, TVHM skip or not skip up to you depends if you want some good gear going into UVHM, if you do then skip them. UVHM skip all.
