Ultimate vault hunter just work and no fun
Losing all your money against impossible enemies is stupid. Wish I never paid for the ultimate vault hunter. All it does is make me angry. I suppose if I had a life to spend trying to beat it then it might make sense to play it but I don't. Now I've gone from loving this game to hating it, so I have vented and will now move on. Garbage.

Well said.

Im op8 on uvhm and don't find it to difficult,Hammerlocks hunt is very difficult at this level but not impossible if you use the correct combinations.see if you can get some top class gear and be prepared to back off and fight from a distance,i still die sometimes but no more so then tvhm.
I have to agree with the OP though, having to really work at getting past the pinche bohunks in Southern Shelf made me lose my enjoyment of BL2. Not that I want it to be easy, but there is a difference between challenging, and unenjoyable work.
You just get used to it, I'm playing at OP8 to get the best weapon for the contest and with OP8 gear its the same as UVHM. That's why people farm for better gear but really just by using the unique weapons from side missions you really don't need Legendary's. Its totally playable, you just have to play smarter, build, gear, weapons, ect.

Play with firends and also farm for better gear.
Play smart. Don't just run and gun. You will die a lot if you just run in there blind.

Yeah, once you spend some time levelling in UVHM, you start to know what to expect and what is needed for you to progress. I too feel like UVHM is alot of work, but it does get easier as time goes by. I still prefer playing in TVHM though.

And at least you can get hundreds of hours of gameplay without even touching UVHM! Even wasting $5 on it still makes this game one heck of a deal.

Get someone to trade (or give) you some super-gear. If you're playing solo it's just about hthe only way to go.. Then do as others have said combine-gear to make it better... Check skill tree to see if it's cmplimenting your play style....
That or give up, all very good options.
I dont mean to be negative but why do people complain when a game is a challenge. First off you dont pay for uvhm its free you can go back to normal mode or tvhm anytime you like. You can play the whole game with every single character with all the DLC's without touching uvhm. uvhm is for people who like a bit of a challenge. You can get all the gear from the game the only downside is all your gear is gonna be capped at lvl 50.
I think the biggest problem with uvhm, let alone op levels, is that it practically narrowed our choice in terms of gear and build. Like healing weapon is a must, and in op levels you really need a grog, rubi doesn't do the job all that well anymore. You need to shamfleet, you need to beehawk, etc. The gear is either top-notch or garbage.

Also, I like the idea of Jakobs weapons - power and critical damage over fire rate and elements, but they are of no use for the most part. "If you needed more than one shot, you didn't use Jakobs", - they say. Where did you ever see Jakobs killing something with one shot on UVHM?

Many skills don't scale too well (turrets, Deathtrap, light the fuse), many skills are pretty much useless (Helios, Corrosive cloud and many more), and my personal favorite Silence the voices at OP8. Just remove 12% chance already, no - better nerf kunai.

Long story short - the balance in the game is pretty much non-existent.

Well, I disagree. I have no problem with my siren skills. I been doing fine.

I'm a big fan of the game.... But I would say this is a really good point. In Borderlands 1 I played with the weapons that suited my style of play, comically enough most of them where white or green, I never payed much attention to all the rare ones except I liked perlescence... I guess the point is in Borderlands 2 if you like to use corrosion or electric weapons or a certain type of shield you really can't (not unless you want each encounter to last 2 hrs) you have to use "the best" weapon/shield/grenade/relic combo in order to reasonably do the higher levels- regardless of your personal choice in play style, animation etc.
I guess its left to the choice of character for the different play styles. Still an amazingly great game.
I like the idea that in uhvm you need to use slag weapons because lets face it in normal and tvhm slag was almost non existent. To me a game starts to get a little dull when you can pretty much take down 95% of the game on the first try. uvhm brang back that enjoyment of trying to take down an enemy multiple times and failing, which lead to trying different strategies and when you finally do mange to take down a certain enemy you get a feeling of accomplishment.

Jack and the warrior in normal and tvhm was a joke, even terramorphous was comical, solo killed him first try without a bee shield. In uvhm people learn to not just run into a group of enemies blindly which is what I saw 99% of the time in normal and tvhm. After a while it just starts to get repetitive but hey thats just my opinion.
sbeam3 I said the same thing.. But like others said.its the gear and skill of your character that will help you out the most. If any thing ask a friend to help you out. True there's seems to be a big jump between TVHM and UVHM.
