Quick question about Claptrap

Can you play this game without Claptrap involved? This thing is so utterly annoying. I hate it. I hate hate hate claptrap. Make it go away. Make it stop. Silence it. Anything. Can I rip that thing out of the game?

He is less of an issue in the first Borderlands, and once you get to Sancturary in Borderlands 2 he becomes less relevant for the most part, and he mostly isn't your hand holding guide anymore. Get to Sanctuary.

While I think Claptrap is hilarious, i realize some people don't like to be handheld by an NPC -- so get to Sanctuary (act 2).
