If the end game is about items. Then the end game is ruined. Whats the point if everyone is cheating. This game is for kids who don't want to play games.

Why so mad though? You don't need top tier gear in TVHM, so you're obviously talking about UVHM or OP levels, both being DLC. Don't like it? Don't buy it.

You bought it? Don't play it.

Also, using a save editor to give yourself items isn't exactly cheating. The loot/farming system in this game is absolutely abysmal, and most people want to enjoy the game without spending weeks doing the same thing over and over for a simple piece of gear they can acquire in two minutes using gibbed. Especially since you won't get far with ONE piece of gear, so you're looking at potentially months of farming before getting the gear you want.

Which is even worse when you consider you could get a piece of gear 50+ times and never get the right combination of parts. Now add this to the fact said gear will be obsolete in a couple of levels unless you're on 72 or OP8, and you have something no one can be bothered doing, not even people without a life who have all the time in the world.

No one said boring. I'll squeeze the last bit of fun out of the game and then never turn back.

Still overall could have been better with out cheaters ruining the value of playing the game.

I'm complaining about cheaters and having nothing but cheaters to play with. So it is hard to find players to play with who don't cheat. I have not as of yet cheated.

Can't think of many multiplayer games that let people cheat and don't care. Probebly because it ruins the value of their game. Gearbox are low rent.

No but seriously just post something in the forums looking to play with legit players and im sure you will find some people that dont "cheat" to play with. I dont really consider it cheating if you already beat the game all the way to OP8 and dont feel like farming so much. But if somone just started playing for the first time and used gibbed then its not cheating your just gonna ruin the game for yourself.

I dislike how some people generalize everything like saying " when everyone is cheating" everyone is also including you. just saying, but some players don't cheat, which are the people who lasted long in the game, people cheating gibbing the crap out of the items, having more items than they can hold won't be lasting long.

The average legendary has a 1 in 30 chance of dropping. Multiply 30 by the total number of weapon parts squared and then multiply that by the number of elements (if elemental), and that huge number will be the chance you will get a perfect version of the weapon you want.

I honestly do not blame players for using gibbed or duping. Borderlands really needs a crafting system, or at least have an in-game vendor/grinder/whatever to modify/upgrade weapons in game.

I do completely agree with you man, it is stupid as all hell to mod your items past the point, I found quite a lot of personal enjoyment in playing with people that didn't hack, it takes some time finding them but worth it in the long run if you like goofy games like this. Feel free to drop me a request, I'm always up for some legit gameplay..

Posts like this are great I think. Starts out seeming like just an angry/frustrated winge, but actually leads to deeper stuff! Cheating, can be a subjective term. Hacking a game to gain advantages is only cheating on yourself, in SP, but MP, that's a different box of frogs. I haven't done any MP with this game yet, but normally it relies on servers & there should be a way to have servers that only accept non hacking players. I have done a bit of co-op & just matching Lvls there is tricky enuff, let alone weapons & shields etc. In the plethora of P2W games, it's just pointless going PvP with one shot killers, so I don't. If something similar is/has happened to you with Bordrlands, you have my sympathy. Surely the cartoon style of Borderlands alone suggests this is a FUN game & that's how I approach it, so shame on over serious hacker players.
