Any correlation between the favorite character and the player's personality??
Say, those who like Krieg might have an inner beast in themselves. And those who prefer Axton might have a more controlled and bland personality.

Do you think a player's favorite character reflects her personality? There may be some correlation? Or no relation at all? :)

I'm 36 years old, engaged, father of two boys, who's introvert, movie-loving, rock 'n rolling, "nice guy" meanwhile my favorite vault hunter is Gaige who is not much like me being an extroverted 16 year old girl who's best (only?) friend is a machine. But I not only find her playstyle enjoyable, but also find her humorous.

I have Dis-associative Identity Disorder, and I love playing Krieg. Really makes me feel normal.

I originally had the solder but then got the mechromancer

Hmm not so much in this game... The foul-mouthed drunk Texan in Dead Island was a perfect fit for me

I love to play as Salvador althought his action skill is a meh to me, I like to call him my little savior or "my chico" lol, got a bunch of legendary shotguns and I also gave name for each of them, Hermosa, Joana, Rita...really, I wish there is a features that you can name your guns, I will name my 1340 to Jennifer Lopez

it was fun to be a bit of a character

your gaming preferance might tell you something about the player behind the character but not enough to build a "personality profile" from. Simply because what you can get from Borderlands 2 isnt enough to cover more then a few basics

- likes melee over long-distance
- likes to snipe from afar
- grenade tossing is his thing
- likes to be "in your face"

what can the above possibly tell you about a players personality?

Ingame CHAT or FORUM posts on the other hand can tell you a great deal about peoples personality quirks :)

But even then it is colored by at least a bit of "Role-Play", because one hides behind ones monitor. The few people I meet IRL do behave quite differently on- and offline.

But I get your point, all in all the chat is a much better indicator than the character one plays. Although I do admit that I feel drawn to character choices that agree with my personality, IF one is available.

Well I dont know about any correlation but I love playing Krieg, I played all default characters on my xbox and it was fun. But I just recently started playing with the dlc on my pc and listening to Krieg makes my day. Even his outfit names make me laugh. Krieg revived this game for me.

Mechromancer turns this game into an arena shooter. So, that must be why I only play as Gage.
