Severly underleveled.

I finished playing my first playthrough by myself, and half-way through True Vault Hunter Mode and my friend wanted to play with me so he came into my game and we went through and beat the rest of the main questline. I'm now level 45, and on Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode with no decent weapons or anything. I went to go do some of the DLC since I haven't done any of it yet, and they're all scaled up to level 50 and I can't do anything. How can I get from level 45-50 so I can do all these DLCs? I'm stuck :(

Go back to TVHM and play a bit of it until you reach 50.

All the quests I haven't accepted yet have scaled to level 50 too I think. they all say 50

Did you click on "select character" in the main menu and then choose "True Vault Hunter Mode"? The missions may be leveled to 50, as you say, but I thought they would level to whatever your level when you accept them.

Either way, you can just roam the land killing stuff for drops or spend some keys in the Golden Chest in Sanctuary for gear that will definitely be your level, then just start one of the DLCs. They also should scale to whatever level you're at, as long as you are in TVHM and not UVHM. Play until you're 50 and switch back to UVHM.

Well I discovered what happened is that my game went into playthrough 2.5 or whatever, so all the enemies/quests in TVHM are now scaled up to level 50 automatically. This means I can't play in TVHM or UVHM because they're all too high leveled...That limits me to my first playthrough, which is a little less than ideal for a level 45. I'm stuck, unless someone can level me from 45-50 so I can start doing the DLC or something.

Sounds like you somehow got your game save into an unplayable state. I think you can bump your level up using gibbed, I know you can do that to gear.

If I were you, I'd make a backup of the .sav file first and then use gibbed to level up your character and maybe some gear a little, enough to make TVHM playable so you're not completely stuck like your are now.

This might actually be kind of lucky if the quests scale wrong in multiplayer. Try joining someone else's group if they are doing lvl 45 quests you're fine but if they have lvl 50 quests then you get crazy bonus xp for doing lvl 50 quests as a 45 with a bunch of 50's. Give it a try.
