Is this Worth it?
Is getting the GotY and UVH Pack2 worth the $45?

Hell yeah! But as often as you can find sales, I'd just wait around, look around, and pick them up for closer to $20.

OK. thanks. I'll wait for them to go on sale.

Definately worth it. Only game that held my attention since Shadowrun on sega genesis.

isthereanydeal.com is a great site that has current game sales from all the major vendors, and like New Troll said you should find this one half-off 2-3 times a month

Very worth it. Sadly you just missed the 50% sale. If you're into RPG's and FPS, its a great combo.

Make sure you got friends to play with...and the co op is quite fun :)

It is prety linear and consoley, but hey...it's really addictive! >:D

That. You must have friends, usual co-op is as terrible as anywhere else. Both talking about players and game co-op engine itself. It's more crude than Diablo 3 at launch.

And yes, the whole point of the game is to grind. It's basically an FPS PvE grinder without anything... special about it. Other games have flavor, graphics or ... system. This is just RPG turned FPS.

The story, the DLCs, the humor - that's credit where it's due. But that's singleplayer and has nothing to do with coop.
So if you are into games like Payday 2, Warframe, basically - PvE shooters with grinding focus - you could try it. Personally I liked those two, and totally disliked BL2, but the genre is the same.
If you are into some competitive shooters, this may just be a wrong game, as you'd often ask yourself - what do I do and why.

Is that worth 45$+? Personally I'd never say yes. Some ~20$ on sale - maybe. But you could find better investments.

This is a game I would have enjoyed in my teens...the only thing keeping it installed is co-op and my Gf :)

I have the game(And friends to play with). I was wondering if I should get the GotY for the dlc.
RogueElement Feb 16 @ 2:48pm
Well if you buy it right now from GameAgent, in spite of the Headhunter Pack 4 delivery problem, you will obtain all but UVHP 2 and the rest of the Headhunter Packs. And as a freebie you receive Headhunter Pack #4. I'm not supporting them but i think it's a reasonable deal. 50% off. Or you can wait until the Summersale if Gearbox sell GOTY for 75% off. Then there's getgames.

Rigth now the GOTY edition is on sale at Gamers gate for 50% off. Myself, I had a great time playing this game. Great charcters, story, game mechanics, and a very smooth/polished gaming experience... did I mention it looks great, you may have to be a fan of cell shading to agree with that...
Anyway, I've played almost as many hours in this as some of my favorite multi-player shooters and I've played most of it solo.

Macgamestore and Gamersgate both have BL2 GOTY and UVHM2 pack 50% off:

http://www.macgamestore.com/product/2947/Borderlands-2-Ultimate-Vault-Hunter-Upgrade-Pack-2/

BL2 is a Steamwork title so keys you get from those site work on both Windows and Mac.

Those discounts make it 22.5$ total. They're worth it if you want a complete BL2 experience. You'll be missing head hunter packs only, which onten last 1.5 hours or less, and some cosmetic DLCs.

If you fell like getting head hunter packs also, Gamersgate are having the first 3 HH packs at 1.5$ each ( 50% off ). 4th one ( Moxxi's ) just got released last week, so no sale for that yet. The 2nd HH pack ( Wattle Gobbler ) is quite bad from what I've heard, however.

Yeah, but I don't have a mac.

As said above, all BL2 keys listed as "Mac" work for Windows also. I bought many Borderlands 2 DLC from various sites that noted the content as "Mac" version, but they all came with Steam keys that worked normally for the Windows version of BL2 that I'm using.
