not what i was expecting to read haha. indeed salvador is boring becaues he's rediculously OP and trivializes what challenged there is to find in this game. if you have krieg at 51 already? well, thats a hard act to follow.

To be fair, it's really impossible to gauge how boring a character is till you've had time to really experience thier action skills. I'd say around level 15 is when you can really start to decide.

My personal opinion though, I think Salvadore is okay in Normal Mode and really fun in TVHM. It's once you take him into UVHM, with the stupid amount of skill synergies, that he gets extremely boring. Boring as in not fun at all. He takes no skill to play, no tactics are needed, and gear for the most part is irrelevant. If you have any healing weapon combined with any slagging weapon, all you have to do is stand there and hold down the fire button. Weapons like a Slag Rubi and the Grog Nozzle make him a complete joke.

But also consider how Krieg is easily the most enjoyable (FUN!) of characters. It's hard for any of the other vault hunters to compare after experiencing The Psycho! The only thing holding him back is his frustrating playstyles. He's one of those characters you either really have to stick with and not use anyone else, or just play casually for fun while spending your serious time with the character(s) who more match your personal playstyle. For me it's the later.

I can understand the Zerker being a bit boring. After doing a full playthrough of normal with Sal I switched to playing the commando.

The reason was because the Zerk was pretty much useless without his "F" skill active. The vast majority of his skills applied only to his zerking.

Going on Zerk sprees was fun a lot at first, but it starts to drag more and more when it sets in that almost the entire time you're playing him you're just holding down both mouse buttons and listening to him yell.

Granted, you could still play tactically and snipe people from a distance or do other things to soften up the enemies before closing in, but anytime you spend not zerking tends to feel, for me at least, like a waste of his abilities.

The commando on the other was a great thing to switch to, for me anyway. He fit my playstyle a great deal. You could play him tacitcally and it was a rewarding, but he isn't so squishy that you can't close in and hold up in the thick of things. If the going gets rough, or you just need more firepower, his turret skill is very useful.

I love my Zerker so much I'm leveling another one to OP8 right now. It can be a bit boring if you play on regular UVHM mode but at OP8 it's quite challenging at times. I just love rolling up to a raid boss and taking him on point blank. Now what isn't fun about that?

BTW, I've capped them all for a little perspective (and two Commandos).

What is not fun is that if you don't exploit something (like that healing combo described above) - you die. It doesn't matter if you zerk or if you flip - whoosh and you are gone.

I don't know about any UVHs or OPs, I got wasted in a second(even when trying to dodge) by Super Badass Loader in coop TVH ~40, trying to tank under flip with full hp and tankspec(jug\hard to kill+asbestos), trying to make something of my class. That's where I've drawn the line about character design.

To answer op's question, I could theorize about what I found and what my friend told me. First - you won't tank. So if you can, until some late TVH - forget about Brawn. As people say - other classes are squishy, so try to make him squishy as well. Going down into Zerking tree is even worse, that's probably where he is found to be OP - permanent "oshi" button. You could use what I totally disliked - first tree, the "damage" tree. My friend mentioned some moneyshot builds that manage insane damage in the late game, that's probably how Salvador gets infamous. So perhaps some 10 points in Zerking for free ammo and longer zerking, meanwhile going into weaponswapping\gunspecced first tree - that could be more interesting than "kind of" tanking and focusing on healthregen, all the while still using gunzerking as "oshi" mandatory button.

So far I'm having a lot of fun with Sal (26). I also had a lot of fun with Kreig (38) and Gaige (61) too!

There is nothing boring in the obliteration of foes. For me the most boring class is Axton, hands down. Most fun are Zero, Maya and Krieg.

Salvador and Gaige are simply brutal, like panzers.

Maya is fun mainly for the amount of problems you can cause and I need to work on my zero and kreig

I think Maya, Zero, and Krieg are more interesting to use without a doubt. Salvador is viceral, like going to Pete's bar and having to use the enemy radar (red diamonds) to see what you're shooting because of the particle fest. It's just a balls out, no fear, no hesitation, style of gameplay that rewards you by being a jack hammer. He's like an old school video game like Doom. Sophisticated as a rock but fun to play as long as you crank up the challenge.

BTW, if you are getting nuked using the Zerk, you are not using him correctly and exploits have nothing to do with it. If we were talking about Zero I could understand.
