Whats the best gun you've found

I'm still pretty early in the game but I found a rocket launcher that does 800 damage. I want to know how good the guns get later in the game.

the provocative ♥♥♥♥♥. i used anarchy gaige and with 150 stacks it's accuracy was still soooo sweet. plus the nice damage and shock

Numbers get absolutely ridiculous at what is essentially level 80 (Overpower lvl 8), you start thinking there was a typo and they put too many numbers in the damage boxes

Best gun I've seen that isn't silly overpowered was a Jakobs blue rarity sniper with Explosive damage. It lists a little more damage then other Jakobs with the same parts, but actually hits about 4-6 times harder then the card says, and does AoE damage.

well the legendary guns that are dropped. my best one is surely Norfleet, does 1,000,000 x3 damage.

Most used gun by any of my characters is defintiely the Rubi. So very useful!

A gun increases in damage at about 11% per level. So a gun will easily outperform its equivalent at 3 to 4 levels below it. That's why it's always important to not carry too underleveled gear for too long.

Guns also have certain prefixes in their name that outperform other prefixes of the same gun in damage. Here's an in-depth guide: http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=238335

You have to do certain side quests to get some of the more useful and unique guns in the game. Also, since you're on Normal mode the quality of loot is not going to be great. Once you reach UVHM, you'll see that purple and blue weapons will drop more often.

Best weapon for my Maya is the Lead Storm.

Best weapon for my Gaige is a tie between the Hydra and the Hail.

For Sal, I alternate between the Grog Nozzle/Harold combo and the Rubi/Moxxi's Good Touch or Rubi/ Plasma Caster corrosive combo. It will melt and explode all comers. (Or for fun, the Nozzle/Pimpernel combo is a good one too)

With Gaige, the Fibber (slag version) plus Anarchy build simply OP's the game ridiculously.

I've never had a duped or gibbed weapon. I pass my farmed and mission weapons around between my characters and experiment.

Found... not counting legendaries//uniques... probably a maliwan plasma caster or a vladoff blaster, best brand of etech smgs and ars respectively.

Some kind of smg is probably best for maya. The Legendary Cat class can mod more than doubles its listed damage when really wanted/needed: god/bad touch, hellfire, plasma caster, sandhawk.

That'll be the Cobra from torgue dlc, always wanted one of those. Thinking about it im sure i got one from the loot hunt, I'll have to have a look. :)

I've used all those with Maya. I like the Lead Storm better for a couple reasons. For one, it synergizes well with the critical buff from Mind's Eye due to the arc of the bullets always raining down on enemies' heads. Secondly, the crazy fire rate works well with Wreck too.

A lot of people are turned off by the arc but it's stupidly powerful once you've nailed its range for the splitting bullets. It melts Raid Bosses too thanks to it coming in all elements and getting the full amp damage from the Bee.
