Hmm. I've done it dozens and I still enjoy it at any level. Don't know what to tell you. If you don't enjoy the game don't play it.
I have NO idea how many times I have done that with all the toons I have played. Still think it is fun. You MAY should consider doing something else with your time if you don't like playing this game.
No brag, just fact, but I had no idea there was a thing about going to another location until I read about it on this forum. The next time I did it, I waited until it happened, I really thought someone was BSing me.
It's an ARPG that escalates in difficulty with higher levels - farming becomes a critical and necessary game function by the 60's in UVHM where it's standard to try killing certain enemies tens even 100's of times for certain drops. If you hate doing it now, you'll hate it more when it becomes necessary. PS Yes, you can cut curners by installing third-party software or by begging friends or etc for desired items but it's best to be self-reliant and install gibbed to make whatever you want whenever you want it. If these corner-cutting options seem distasteful, that's understandable and maybe this ain't the best game for you. But lots of time spent on these repetitive functions does become necessary by the game's higher levels and it's best to be aware of it now rather than later.
best advice is to do side quests until you can overpower your enemies and get good gear, you should be around LV 13 - 15 right? you could do the pirate booty dlc first
The point is that BL2 is an ARPG.
Re-running areas is something we do all the time. Most people run it at least twice per character, per difficulty. More if they like it, and most of us have more than one character.
If you think doing a zone three times is a lot then maybe this isn't the genre for you. Seriously, being able to do a zone over and over is a feature that ARPG fans actually like.
