The rats + flinter from "Splinter Group" quest gives you good xp, snowman + wattle gobbler too. If you are willing to grind you can get to 72 faster. But its more fun to just take your time, do the story and reset it.
See, it´s a long game rich on content. There´s nothing special waiting for you at level 72.
the game offers more than enough content to reach your level cap.
Getting to 72 asap doesn´t really make the game any easier nor does it decrease your game time significantly.
You spend time maximising your XP count to grind out levels as fast as you can and then what?
Still a boatload of stuff to do. Rushing through everything then still doesn´t reward you with anything special.
t´s all about the journey- levelling up and finding all sorts of different guns while porgressing through the various missions.
Yes it takes time but there´s not much else to do in this game really.
I don´t know what you´re expecting to find at the end.
Why not just download a save file for the toon of your choice?
Saves all the nonsense of powerleveling, taping the fire button down while you fire at rakks or the test dummies, and similar.
What's wrong with using a save file if you are already set on getting to what are erroneously though of as the juicy bits?
In your mind, is there a difference?
This is an ARPG. It's intended to offer a (more-or-less) consistent level of challenge along a static progression curve, providing incrimental rewards (levels, skill points, loot) allowing the individual player to progress along the curve and face greater challenges. This in turn provides incrimentally better loot, and the cycle repeats.
There is no fantastic end game. This isn't an MMO with a big development team constantly making new, max level content. The end is the end.
The fun takes place within the confines of the progression curve.
If you view that as a "time sink" then ... maybe this isn't really the correct game type for you. ARPGs aren't for everyone. They're designed to appeal to the "Hunter Mind". That isn't everyone.
No disrespect intended, but I asked you as you made the suggestion, as has bigbenisdaman just after you.
Both of your doing so in turn helps to encourage and propogate what is in many ways a gigantic waste of time, both for the person feeling the need to beg to get to the "end" quickly, as well as for the "helper".
If a person insists on this, where is the logic in powerleveling or shooting dummies/rakks with the fire button taped down vs. using an existing save file in seconds? Is there some perspective I'm missing that makes either any less a shortcut?
No logic at all. Some people just don't understand the gameplay of this game, and they don't want to use gibbed or saves, because "cheats" XD. Apparently they think that ditch a lot of time doing garbage is better and they are too lazy to pump and equip themselves. I don't call to raise levels as I described, it's just an option for them.
As for me levelling and equiping new char is pretty interesting, but after 50-60 passages becomes annoying a bit.
