Best version for co-op?
A friend and I have gotten an itch for a bit of Magic and I was wondering which version (2012-2015) to get. We'd like to have some co-op modes available. Seems like 2012-2014 all have 2HG (2v2) mode and 2012 in particular also has Archenemy (3v1)?

Are these modes both playable online? Is it just random matches or can you do the campain parts co-op online too? And how does Archenemy work with just one other player? Can you do Archenemy as 2v1 or are you forced to have an AI for the third?

And would you recommend another version of Planeswalker instead of 2012 for two-player online co-op for some reason? If so, why?

just stick with 2012, u wont regret it
2012 is the best version of co-op mainly 'cause it has 2v2 and Archenemy , 2013 and 2014 only have 2v2.

Yes, online matches are playable, you can host them as a custom match. You'll need 2 other players on your side in Archenemy, a 2v1 in Archenemy can be really tough and make your chances of winning smaller. You can try to find a 3rd human player, teaming up with an A.I. isn't too bad, but they can do some dumb stuff at times though, I think this mainly happens if you set it to Mage difficulty.

Well, this is the only version I recommend for the best co-op experience at the moment with Magic the Gathering on Steam.
