Why do games vs. bots end so quickly?
I played several games vs bots with both teams having a bot commander and they end so quickly. As a marine we win within 5 minutes and as an alien I lose within 5 minutes. Are there any good bot mods that are decent?

From my experience commanding bots, once the marines get shotguns, it's over. You can litterally as Com do nothing once you research shotguns and they'll win on their own.

True, but with shotguns, they just mow down Aliens. Remember, they have autoaim too.

The real problem is that alien bots dont really move the way they should and are easy targets for every marine no matter if human or bot. Moreover they move while evolving (in eggform) so after 5 min alien bots are just shooting stuff.

Therefore the alien comm has to defend with whips and has to take down marines by himself.

Alien gameplay dosn't translate to well to bot coding. Point and shoot is easy, but melee (and the required dodging) isn't.
The alien bots always seem to get stuck.
It's hard to make bots easy.
Unless bots would be more like RCBots and Wichbot(Aliens(NS)) Dont expect to much.
I tried the bots, and they're basically useless. It's a pointless mode because of all the issues they have. The commanders don't seem to do anything, Aliens won't be anything other than Skulks, and the Marines won't use any upgrades other than Shotguns. The entire A.I. structure needs an overhaul. It's also extremely skewed towards Marines, but that doesn't matter very much when it's a braindead broken mode. Other than to use it to try out a weapon/class; you've no reason to use it. But you won't even want to do that much because the mode runs horribly if you're the one that hosted it. I had huge lagg issues running the Co Op, even by myself, when I don't have issues running the normal game with dozens of players. I suspect this is due to all the extra overhead behind hosting a game on here, but don't tell me a 3770k should be choking on this. I could most likely host real games with this computer if I had the upload speed to support the external clients.
