2. Performance issues
3. Lack of matchmaking/skill ranking to keep veteran players from walking all over complete newbies which leads to a lot of frustration for new players
Hopefully they'll have a bunch of #2 sorted out in their patch later this week. #1 is an ongoing process that will probably never be solved entirely, and #3 is in the works as well since they just added a global stat/skill tracking system with Reinforced. Whether or not anything more concrete will come of it remains to be seen.
You connect at a bad time.

The West Coast populationis pretty low compared to the European players. Game peaks with European players.
Also, bad optimization plays a role.
1) Niche game from indi studio.
(not so famous / well known like other titles.)
2) Steep learning curve.
(too much for most dumb players nowadays... they leave because 2 complicated.)
3) Requires REAL team-play where you have to listen each other.
(Not what the standard COD / Deathmatch / "I do what I want" ego- kid wants to play.)
4) No big commercial campaigns like other games.
(Less Customers)
5) Not available in "normal" gaming stores as DVD-Box
(Less Customers)
6) Only available for PC.
(Less Customers)
7) Extreme Resource Hungry.
(Many players have problems with performance and don't want to know technical details... "I can play COD / Battlefield, but this does not work!?")
8) Too much changes / Bugs at the free weekend.
(Got a bad reputation?)
9) Too much pub-stomping and yelling at rookies compared with (long time) outdated tutorials and no real "sandbox-mode".
Pretty much this, I watched some videos and couldn't wait to play it!
Played a match as marines and got really annoyed as the aliens jump all over the screen at 500mph and seem nigh on impossible to hit or kill.
Oh well I thought I'll try alien! get pin point shot in every match dying in seconds with no chance to get any kills!
Oh well I thought maybe if I practise it'll get better... sadly the 3rd match never happened as its kept refusing to let me join games since. It just saying its caching for AGES then says I timed out. This is whats annoying me most I've literally played 3 games and have yet to find a pc game I can't play yet due to my pc (its not exactly amazing but its 3.2Ghz with a gforce GTX 650 and 8gig ram) I've just not been able to get this to work. Tried for ages as I really wanted to play it but eventually I just gave up trying
Barely.

Actually, losing a lifeform is much more punishing for aliens because marines can salvage weapons dropped by dead teammates. Aliens have no such luxury, and combat lifeform egg drops from the commander are super expensive and are a pretty big risk due to how much aliens have to spend on everything else they need to keep up with marines.
And why should a project be unfinished if it doesn't have Russian text?
It doesn't have any other languages to begin with and it's fine since it's a small indie studio.
beside , you guys must have sympathy for game-developers
Try to creat a video game and sell it on Steam USA :D You can understand their feeling
