Game does not launch
I took a break from gaming over the last few months and it seems one of either NS2 or steam's updates have messed up its launching. It worked perfectly well until this occurance, and it is a well thought out and rather fun game to play. I really hope I can get this fixed.
Desktop shortcut links to "", which obviously doesn't work
"Play Game" link in steam doesn't actually launch game, it syncs it and updates the last played counter
I've tried verifying game cache, reinstalling the game, running steam as an admin, and deleting the clientregistry.blob file.
I'm running this from an Allienware m11x with fully updated drivers.

specs?

I'm assuming closing all programs entails more than just going to task manager and closing all applications. What else would you like me to close?

and what specs do you want?
Nvidia GeForce G540M
resolution: 1366x768
1.4-GHz Intel Core i5-2537M
windows 7 (64)

Might free hard drive space be a portion of the problem? I've been pushing the limit on my 500 Gb recently and one or two other games are having problems launching. I thought it was individualized, but it might be both.

Processor:Core 2 Duo 2.6 ghz
Memory:2 GB RAM

Alienware is garbage.

So that's great and all that alienware sucks. Should've gotten that out of the way first. Now that that's out of our systems, I'm not having a problem with it running. When it launches, it runs fine. It ran well for the last few months, but it recently failed to launch. It has nothing to do with the its ability to run on my computer. The problem occurs when starting the game.

My NS2 properties>localfiles doesn't have a defrag button. It only has verify, and I've done that multiple times
