Game crashes when trying to shoot. (Ubuntu 12.04 64-Bit)

Hey everyone,

First of all I would like to commend you guys on making a really beautiful game. I really look forward to playing it.

My issue is that the game crashes whenever i attempt to shoot. I am not using any special distro or crazy drivers or anything.

I have ubuntu 12.04 64 Bit
GTX 480 with proprietary drivers.

I doubt the rest of the system is relevant.


Are there any suggestions you can give me about resolving this possible bug?

I got the same problem with 64 bit 13.04 ubuntu, using nvidia prop drivers.

Strange thing is that i can move smoothly in game. So, I guess it's not about my system spec or so. I'm looking forward an update for the game. (I remember one of the devs was mentioning an update, but couldn't find the source)

Game crashed randomly on ubuntu 13.10 on a GTX 780 with 319 drivers. Gonna try they new 331 to see if anything changes

I used windows for a while. Then my Social security got stolen and I had to spend 2 years fixing my credit.

I see no reason to pay money for a bug ridden OS that requires reinstalls every 6 mo, has security flaws, and is bulky and unoptimized. If thats what floats your boat, good for you. To each his own.

my working environment is built top on linux, It's almost impossible to do my daily tasks with a windows box. (or hard to do)

I don't want to pay for an operating system that I don't use, thats why.

Maybe you should tell that to the Linux-based SteamOS, I'm pretty sure they want to hear your input.

Crash in multi under Ubuntu LTS 64 bits - ATI 4870. I have finnished the tutorials it was fine.

did it happen with opengl on windows? it could because of the beta opengl render.
they should have marked the game as beta on linux and should not promote it as linux game while their opengl render is beta.

Arch linux, nvidia 325 drivers, crashes when shooting (often but not always)

Having the same problem. Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 with nvidia-319 propietary drivers. Xubuntu 13.10, 64 bit system. Crashing randomly to desktop too often to be funny. Didn't seem to crash very often before last patch.

Possible fix: disable as much graphics as you can. That seemed to work for me. Maybe it's just a single setting that causes the drop to desktop, but I haven't checked which.

Even with graphics on minimum, it still happens from time to time. I just installed the 331.20 drivers, gonna test it.
