Why is this game running so poorly on my PC?
I know my pc is low end, but on every freaking setting it runs the same ( i tried the free weekend, and i have a key waiting to be activated) It says on the store page that the game recommended settings are 3.0 GHz Dual core, i have Amd Athlon II x2 280 @ 3,6 at the game runs SOO poorly, and it's not because of my other components it's CPU lag.

The recommended setting are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. They've never actually updated the info page on steam but yeah you need at least a good quality quad core and a decent GPU to run this game well. Minimum you need 8GB of RAM as well.

Turn your grapgical setting to off for everything but multicore. Then, reduce your resolution.

Also, try the low textures mod in the worshop. That should help you get better FPS

Thank you guys <3 I was really looking forward to that game, but when i tried to play the low fps turned me off, so i will try now again ^__^

Or they actually have other work to do, such as WORK ON THE GAME?
They've been supporting a game with free updates for much longer than most companies would, they're definitely trying to scam people for money!

The store pages say "Core 2 Duo 3,0 GHz" not jut any dual-core.
This is your CPU: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Athlon+II+X2+280&id=1887
And this is an Intel Core Duo 2.83 GHZ, just a little below official minimum recommendations: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core2+Duo+E8290+%40+2.83GHz&id=1790

So while you should by all means run, some performance issues are only natural with our system.

I would suggest reducing resolution and maybe shadows, iirc those two have most impact on CPU performance, a little over 30 FPS should be manageable, my notebook has an A8-4500M and the CPU can deal with 720p in NS2, so your system hopefully can do as well.

After i runned the optimization the game runs with 40+ fps on my full resolution and most of the settings on High so it's good :)

Great to hear.
Keep in mind that your FPS will go down to some degree in the endgame when lots of stuff is happening on the screen. :)

did you run the optimization the game asks you to do when launching it?
Is there a way to do that after you say "no" the first time?

Have you even tried reducing your in-game screen resolution?

Upgrade your CPU. The Athlon II is far obsolete.

So stupid.

It seems like the specs needed have gone up a lot. I used to play it at release fine, now with the same PC I came back to it because of the humble bundle and I had to lower a lot of settings to get ok fps.
