Worth the 4 pounds and 74 pence?
Was looking for a new fun game to play with my friend and for under 5 pounds this game seems pretty decent but was wondering at its standing price of 18 is it worth a steal at under 5 or should i not bother..?

With my 100+ hours in the game I say that you should go for it. Have in mind though that the game has a steep learning curve so you probably have to invest about 4 - 5 hours into it before you get the hang of it. The game is heavily teamoriented (you cannot play lonewolf but have to be a teamplayer). Communication is vital for winning.

Worth the full price, amazing game but as the other guy said, steep learning curve.

I've paid $110 for it so far and it was worth it. Your mileage may vary...

Worth every penny. Buy it; the sooner the better. But it's a very hard game and very cruel for rookies. If you decide to buy it, try to watch tutorials on youtube or guides on steam so you get the basics and you won't screw up IG. And moreover it's gonna save you like 30hrs of learning.

Since you got the game (good on you btw): Don't be afraid to ask questions when playing.
Even the most basic things like what does that radar thing with the dish do? or [i}]how can I make my Fade go fast[i/] for example. I can remember that when I started playing the game (550 h ago :)) I was very confused by all the different buildings and how they function.
Guides and tutorials are a good start, but I prefer Q&A style tbh.
Imo, the quickest and most comfortable way you'll learn is to find a vet that is willing to give you a little walkthrough. Shouldn't be too difficult. Using the voice channel always helps too!

It's worth to buy for friends too.

It really says something about how great Steam is when people can come on here and - in full seriousness - ask about whether a quality game is worth 5£. Back in the 90's, games could easily cost 80-100$ and you weren't downloading them from the convenience of your home over high-speed internet, either.

Yes OP, game is extremely worth the asking price.

Yes, it is. Kinda cool playing as an Alien

Check if you have a powerful PC, low latency internet connection, good reflexes, patience and a wilingness to learn and like team-based online shooters. And a lot of free time. If answer to these questions is yes, then buy it. Otherwise, don't.
Buying it for friends is a questionable move. Most of my friends refused to play for reasons mentioned above and a few other.

I do not think it is worth it. If I could do it over again, I would not buy it again. It is so buggy and crashes all the time.
