Natural Selection 2
Yet another qestion about optimization - worth it?
I bought this game about 6 months ago. Framerate was awfull so I uninstalled it with regret. I noticed NS2 get some updates and I have question. They did some good optimization? Planetside 2 get second cool optimization patch and works pretty good (except big battles). Its sad when i can play crysis 3 or bf 3 on stable framerate, when on NS 2 i can't. Let me know

It's come a long way since I first purchased it. It's like a whole different game really since they put in OGL and DX11. I'm no longer stuck at 20 FPS max. Some people seem to still be having trouble, though.
without specs pointless to ask.
i have a geforce 560 (not that crappy overpriced Titanium edition) and a bad-ass intel i5 2310 processor. This game is running smooth enough that i might say its been close to 60 fps most of the time. I haven't had major slowdowns, at least not enough that i noticed them.
You are aware that the 560 is significant slower than the 560ti?

Anyway, glad to hear that the game runs well on your system.

ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series

amd athlon II X3 450 (with unlocked 4th core)
amd radeon 7750

most of the time runs fine on 720p, low details
The game has come a long way. I used to play it with a dualcore E8400 overclocked to 3.8 ghz from 3.0 ghz. Barely could run on that machine, as the game was heavily CPU dependent then. Now the machine is running with a i5 3570 and everything is smooth.

My main rig runs with 90-140 fps in the game now, using dx9. Feels awesome on 144 hz monitor, this engine is truly becoming great.

1920x1080, most maxed except ssao and AA.
2x 7870 XT tahiti le (HD 7930s) in crossfire
i5 2500k overclocked to 4.6
8 GB arm at 1600 mhz
Forced me to upgrade to i5 4670. Before I upgraded, it worked significally better on slightly OC-ed E8400, but still not fast enough to make faster classes playable. After that they made engine overhaul which reduced performance again. Can' say anything about the current situation.
Don't recommend buying if you don't have at least middle-end Ivy Bridge / Sandy Bridge CPU or something similar from AMD.
