Game files don't match server files
Game Precaches to about 5 or 6% then it loads back to the main screen and popup says "Game files do not match the server files..." Only happens sometimes, mainly on certain maps like Biodome. Anyway know a fix?

im afraid you have to exit game >> go to Steam workshop

Click on Your subcribed mod and un-sub all of them
Then type %appdata% in Windows Run >> enter
Find Natural Selection2/Workshop >> delete all of file in it ( kind of like m098456ca2 ..vv)

Done

32 bit users cannot join servers which are running certain server side modifications that precache resources. It causes you to fail consistency checking.

There is nothing UWE can do about this, as it is a mod that the server owner runs.
You can contact the server owner and ask that they either remove the offending mod, or adjust their consistency settings to disable checking for male and female marine models, which is what fails precisely.

Or you can install a 64 bit OS and join the other 89% of the steam playerbase :-P
Your choice
Take care

Mods are quiet usefull for most ppl and don't cause this issue alone, its more the fault of some weird stack corruptions happening to 32 bit users and how the the consistency check algorithm works.

Atm server admins kinda can fix this with lighting up there consistency check config to not check the marine models.

But this can't be the official default config as it would allow modifing those model files.

So your best bet is either to find a server which has a lighten up config (like my own Survival of the Fattest) to contact the server admins or to play on a unmodded server ;)
