Will MM improve the community?
Do you think introducing matchmaking system and coach system for the new players like in Dota 2 would improve this game like cybersport and widen the community?

I've been proposing this for months now. but no one will listen. Nothing to lose if it goes ahead.

Too much competitive approach scares off a lot of the new players i think. I'd love to see it like how they did it with CS:GO. 6 vs 6 Queued competitive matchmaking for more serious players and 12 vs 12 unqueued casual matchmaking for casual players. Or something like that, NS2 deserves a bigger playerbase.

it will not help. very few ones nowadays can play (or simply do something) without ♥♥♥♥ting around with word "I", where every bug screams "I did" "i this" "i that" etc.
And this few ones who eager to play for teamwork and be "punished" for not playing that way will stay anyway.

if you really need "wider player base" , you need add bots, killstreak, badges for every spit, etc.
But my question is - will those few of us stay then?

I think you just need some newbie version, the big problem for newbie games is that it takes too much effort to kill bases so the game can go on for over 1hour with the last base being sieged.

If all structures would have like 50% hit points in "newbie mode" it would make it more casual i guess. I think the classes are just fine.

Last time there was a sale the newbies had like total blast playing the game and trying the classes out but they all eventually left the server because noone could kill the last enemy base.

There already is an attempt at matchmaking called Organized Play. There already is tutorials, tip clips, and other tools to help new players.

The tools are there but people are not motivated to learn if they get horribly destroyed. One needs a little challenge and matchmaking could help to face off beginners against similary skilled or slightly better players.

Could do something like preventing users from joining a server with an average level that's 20 or more below there's. Would prevent pros from being ♥♥♥♥♥♥y and pub stomping rookies.

But I still the main issue is not that good player dominate bad players, but in ns2 it means that you get dominated painfully in a slow ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bleeding way for 30mins.

In most games you kinda respect better players and you are waiting to kill them in the next round, but in ns2 you get killed by that guys 40 times a row because it takes do damn long for the game to end.

Like youre not a good player, but you still die to boredom because when the game is over it takes a painful 30minutes to watch how the enemy ends it.

"vote concede" after 10 (or even less) minutes

Matchmaking would be nice but as mentioned it should give "competitive matchmaking" and "casual matchmaking" where the one ist with rating and the other ist not.

matchmaking will bring population like no other feature ever for a ♥♥♥♥ING simple reason.
It's simple, an elo based mm ll make finding game with your friends a lot easier and a lot likely to be fair.

Why people don't stick to this game ?
Because when you want to play it with friends its a ♥♥♥♥ing hell, you need to find a serv not to low not too full and then you try to put all of your friend in the same team with an autobalance.

Guys its not 00' anymore, people who try a new game ll not take the time to learn it if they need to deal with the point above, it ll stay a niche game because they are now & ♥♥♥♥ing tons of games, many with a functional mm and lot more appealing for new player and their friends.

No wonder this game is going to the dirt. We seem to have people who donated a few hundred dollars thinking that they own this game and everyone that plays it. R.I.P Natural Selection 2.
UnReal máj. 12. @ du. 1:49
But the funniest part is that most of these people are just talking complete rubbish to make it seem like they know something when they know nothing really at all. This really upsets me. This game had so much potential... instead you have all these people expecting to be paid for improving the community or they would invite you to multiple online voice chats to talk ♥♥♥♥ about other people that would try and improve it all.. gotta love trash talking manipulators.. Just on a further note for all you naive dumbasses... Don't judge a person by the words of junkies and drop kicks ... the community of this game could have boomed to a dota 2 level... Too bad nearly everyone has stopped playing even after the new map(s).

Either you will all learn from this or once again there will be more trash talk from monkeys and coconuts.
