Awful Ping, Only in NS2

I just recently upgraded my rig partially to be able to play this game. While I'm now enjoying a great frame rate for some reason I cannot find a server with a decent ping to save my life. Only about 6 servers will show up on my list and they are all 150+ ping. I only have this problem in NS2. I can play Dayz with a ping of 15-20 no problem.

What is going on with this game that is treating my connection like crap?

Nah, if you live in America like I do, its always that way because a good bit of the servers are Europe hosted, so just the way it is sadly :(

From my impression they have quite a decent amount of servers in America. I mean at least one server should be near his location, right?

Well yea, the KingKahuna servers and some others have relatively low ping, although most of the time, they're filled up because of the reason stated, but I guess you learn to adjust to 100 ping....

Lucky, Australia has only 3 decent servers to speak of...
