Rotate camera for alien wall walk
Maybe I'm not remembering correctly, but in the first first Natural Selection mod for HL1, when aliens climbed along the walls didn't the camera rotate so that "down" was always toward the wall or roof?
(so if you were on the roof the camera would be upside down)

This might have been a tiny bit more 'confusing' or 'disorienting', but it was definitely more effective wasn't it?
It's kind of hard to walk along the roof quickly the way it is right now, I keep falling down, but I don't remember having that problem at all in the other NS.
All you had to do was keep the camera pointing down slightly, you didn't have to make sure it was pointing left or right or up depending on the surface

Would it be possible for someone to make a mod that adds this feature?

I also played Aliens vs. Predator too, so I could just be confusing the original NS game with that, but I'm fairly certain the camera rotated in NS

Nope. Camera has never done that in NS.

not even as an option that could be turned on in the settings maybe?

You're thinking of the Aliens from Aliens games, although it would be kinda nice to have in NS2 maybe.

There was already a thread talking about this.

Point your crosshair slightly up whe walking on roofs, and keep pressing left or right when on walls.
Anyway, the view is good as it is because skulks are so fast that the game would disorientate everyone if the camera was moving, and you would'nt be able to wall jump. Skulk would suck with a rotating camera.

Imagine wall jumping through the map and every few seconds your screen would rotate 90° to the right/left and back again. I think I would puke in about 5 minutes.

The way it is right now is fine, even though you have to get the hang of it.

would be pretty amazing as far as 'immersion' goes though :p

Anyways, I just made this thread because I was hoping someone would be able to say "there's a mod for that already" or that maybe one was being worked on or something.

But I guess that's not the case

Nope it would be terrible. I played runner a lot in AvP2 and the only two reasons it worked in AvP games because map geometry was simple, here it would be do nothing but induce motion sickness and xenomorphs didn't need to use wallwalking.
