The game wont work on windows.
As soon as i start the app it is just a black screen with my cursor as a loading symbol. Then when i left click after any amount of time (i left it for 6 hrs once) it just says natural selection 2 is not responding. Can anyone help.

A little more info about your system might help.

What version of windows are u running?
Is it 32 or 64bit?

What's your CPU?
How much memory do you have?
What GPU do you have?
Ect...

windows 8 64bit, 12gb ddr3 ram, gtx 650, i7 quad, 2.75 tb storage (hdd), and it has an ethenet connection.

Your general specs aren't to different from mind, aside from the part were you are running Windows 8 64bit.

I run windows 7 64bit, that shouldnt really matter to much as they are nearly identical OS's anyway.
This may sound stupid, but have you tried to to verify the game cache, or checked the date your video card drivers were last updated?

yes they are all new.

Go to C:\Users\'your name'\AppData\Roaming\Natural Selection 2 and delete system_options.
I had the same problem and it helped me.
