Btw, I tagged it as "Headset advised". It's a shame that most guys seem to think they don't need a headset at all.
absoulutely not, I think the shadow badge is a microtransaction. just my opinoun that some others may share. Totatlly not random!
Considering that the cosmestic item effectively changes nothing, it's not on the same level as some of the broken games being released that either make you pay for parts of the game to make them work properly or have a form of pay to win.
Compare TF2's microtransactions for inferior weapons and hats opposed to EA's Dungeon Keeper. TF2 changes nothing or lets you spend money on more often than not, inferior weapons as opposed to EA that lets you dramatically get ahead of other players with real money.
Microtransactions should be limited to purchases that give some advantage. Cosmetic badges do not do this.
Where does one draws the line? That's for each person to decide.
Then you're ok with the tag "HATS" then?
Why not make all games free then? *rolls eyes*
Sure. Because hats don't change game play.
How is a badge worth 75$ a microtransaction? Do you even think before you type?
Yes indeed I should call it something else? Like snobtransactions?
http://www.usgamer.net/articles/does-anybody-really-like-microtransactions
This game that I bought for full price was never 75$, So perhaps you have a point. They stole my game from me and gave me the microtransaction supported reinforced. If that puts my thinking into the spot light for ya Kwisatz. Again NOT NICE.
Because I'll submit to only using this HATS tag if I could get enough people to tag ns2 in the store, just to revenge what they did to my game by adding stupid badges and skins for $nobbery... Truely it's not against the players who buy it, but they are the one's sporting it. Do they enjoy HATS in games? I don't. I don't win. I want to spray confetti on the wall of where I'm homeless is all. I'm not a troll, I'm just upset. BIG DIFFERENCE.
Actually the badges are classified as "DLC/Donations"
You've got the jist, but you're just wrong in this case.
Here's a great article for any wondering where the turnning point came.
They actually use the word
Donations.
