Sneak You Alien Fools! We're Hunting Them.
I've been playing NS2 alot lately and now that i know whats going on it is becoming apparant that alot of alien deaths could be avoided if people stop clunking aroung all over the place. All you have to do is press Lshift as skulk and Lctrl as everything else(except lerk) and you make no noise.(onos still makes noise but is quieter)

Even as someone who is still pretty much rookie i can almost pinpoint where enemies are when i hear the footsteps through my headset.

The main reason im posting this is for when i play as a skulk. I'll start to sneak up on marines with my skulky friends, but instead of sneaking with me, they will clunk forward a few steps, wait for me to catch up, clunk forward a few steps, repeat, revealing to any nearby marines where we are and ruining the element of surprise, which as a group of skulks, lowers our chance of success from like, 90% to about 30%.

Think about it, did Solid Snake forget to sneak when he won the vietnam war for the americans? No. He was sneaky as f**k and slaughtered his enemies.

Also, its not a bad idea to sneak as a marine when moving ito a corridor/room where you think aliens might be at the other end of, so they will not flee/attack until they see you/feel your bullets.

Good rookie willing to learn and play well. Keep on improving, you'll go far. Check out a few tutorials online to get better. Look for "It's Super Effective NS2" on youtube for example ;)

Oh and tell the noisy guys to sneak. If they don't understand, let them die and learn it the hard way ;)

just go shade hive, they will hold that left shift key down from the hive all the way to the other side of the map.

Assuming:
1. Complaining guy is Commander of the team
2. The team can handle the delayed spurs/shells. Most pubs need them to get kills.

Most people in pub games don't know how to play with shade abilities. They tend to over-sneak and wait, cloaked, for preys to come. They stand still and play defensive, wich is the worst thing that could happen. Except if you're confident in your team mates, if they have a microphone and stuff, never go shade hive. Never go full ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
(I love shade hive myself btw, I'm not a hater :D)

Granted stealth does work, but give skulks spurs early game and they can really confuse marines with blinding speed.

Thanks for the shoutout too.

Yeah the shade hive is awesome. Some of the best games ive had on aliens has been when the hive order goes; Shift, Shade, then Crag. You can confuse the hell out of them.

And thanks for the viewing material,Its helpfull and very thorough, i havent watched alot of it yet... and yes, i will try not to go full ♥♥♥♥♥♥. ; ) Ever sound advice.
