[solved] my damage indicator is always pointing in the opposite direction
is that supposed to be ?

It often happens to me in most fps, i never rely on it. I prefer listening to the sounds.

^Listening is better, especialy in this game
If you don't have a surround sound headset, razer has an application that can emulate it quite well with any headset, headphones, or even earbuds.

I have 690 hours in NS2 and I never notice the hit indicator. Like at all. Too busy staring at my crosshair and getting a bead or lining up a meatshot. Listen carefully, use your map, position yourself well. You shouldn't need a hit indicator to know where you're getting hit from. Also, mods can interfere with hit indicators - so be careful of xhair mods or any others you may use.

i do not rely on that and try to track the minimap (if i have one) ... but it confuses me and makes me think i also get attacked from behind ... really annoying
have only 1 mod gonna try if it makes the difference ...
EDIT: yeah seems that pink contrast mod made it ...
